We sat disappointed that the beaches would be quieter, the outdoors a little lonelier.
So instead we spend the day relaxed, awash in stillness, alone together.
We accomplish small tasks, the world shrunken, just for today.
We revel in our tiny joys, living fully right now.
The sun will return tomorrow, the beehive back to life.
Today an opportunity, the rain commands it.
I know this.
